(Stafford)- The Stafford Treasurer’s Office will be closed to the public this Friday for a turnover audit performed by an outside firm and the Virginia State Auditor of Public Accounts. Such an audit is required when leadership changes in a treasurer’s office. Laura Rudy is retiring after 16 years. The state requires a full accounting of all deposits, books and papers to be receipted and delivered to her successor, Michael Sienkowski.
