(DC)- George Washington University is considering a mascot change. In a letter sent to the school’s community, George Washington President Thomas LeBlanc said a new committee comprised of students, faculty and alumni will assess whether the University’s “Colonials” nickname and mascot should stay or go. LeBlanc also said the committee will re-examine campus building names and memorials. The university’s Board of Trustees endorsed the process to address the mascot’s future.
