(Spotsylvania)- An 80-year-old Spotsylvania County man has been charged with second-degree murder after allegedly shooting his wife to death during a domestic dispute late Wednesday. Major Troy Skebo says deputies went to the 4000 block of Bonnie Brae Court off State Route 3 at 10:30 p.m. They found the victim, 85-year-old Patsy Howard, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body. She was taken to Mary Washington Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Her husband David Howard was arrested. Skebo says it’s not clear what the domestic dispute was all about. Howard is in the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.
