(Woodbridge)- Authorities are desperately searching for police recruits in Prince William County. Police Chief Pete Newsham said the county is in dire need of officers, as the number of people applying to join the force is down significantly. According to Newsham, at least one-hundred officers are needed to get staffing to its desired level. That’s as the county has experienced an uptick in crime in recent months after a decline attributed to the COVID pandemic.
