(Richmond)- State officials are continuing to eye the Greater Richmond Convention Center for use as a hospital overflow site. The National Guard and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are teaming up with public health leaders on an emergency plan. Richmond-Henrico health director Dr. Danny Avula has suggested the center could house coronavirus patients who are improving, while hospitals will care for more critical patients. The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation now points at a peak outbreak date of April 20th in Virginia.
